Samantha Blount, the queen of "getting stuff done," is the owner of Blount Creations, a small business where she gets to wear many hats as a virtual business manager, business coach, leadership coach and virtual assistant. The queen of getting stuff doneA "business empress," the "greatest thing since the iPhone," and a "producer of awesome outcomes." These are a just a few of the common monikers and superlatives from highly-satisfied clients given to Samantha Blount of Blount Creations: The Queen of Getting Stuff Done. Samantha is the owner of a small business where she gets to wear many hats as a virtual business manager, business coach, leadership coach and virtual assistant. She possesses a unique skillset that allows her to enter another’s business, assess the internal environment and improve upon it. For her many talents, she is greatly beloved by her clients because at the end of the day, they can leave the office at 5 p.m.,know that their administrative and operating matters are well attended, and rest their heads down easy.
"She is a good listener that can hear what’s behind the scenes. An innovator who can create outside the box and an entrepreneur that goes above and beyond to help in any way necessary," quotes a very satisfied client. When getting to the core of Samantha’s business, she simply describes it as an operation that creates more time for others. Whether the client is in need of more self-care, increasing revenue, streamlining organizational processes or increasing customer retention, she does it all to ensure that her clients can have more time and enjoy a higher quality of life outside of work. "Most services are virtual, but I can do in person if it’s needed. My core products are coaching and consulting for other business owners, providing leadership coaching to individuals and providing physicians with medical billing services through a separate division." Formative years and talent recognitionThe skills that have allowed Samantha to successfully step into another’s business environment and make an impact were formed at an early age. Since grade school, Samantha was a focused straight-A student. She sat in the front row, took copious notes and was very successful from the get-go. She claims it wasn’t because she was naturally the smartest, but because she had the organization skills, efficiency, and self-discipline of someone 3 times her age. Her friends would ask her for organization tips and whether she had realized it or not — her coaching career began. "Even as a kid, everyone came to me for advice and help," says Samantha. While she wasn’t paid for her services as a student, a passion for helping others grew and she identified a talent that would later lead the way to career satisfaction and an independent means of livelihood. "I was the person that everyone knew would put anything aside to help others. Listening and reading/learning were about all I did in school. I connected really easily with people and could get a general understanding of a situation by reading faces and listening to their voice inflections." The path to entrepreneurshipLike many other small-business owners, Samantha’s path to entrepreneurship was preceded by a variety of other life and work experiences before arriving at her current destination. "I had a CNA license at age 15 and managed an Alzheimer’s unit, and I knew that I wanted to help others on wider scale. Early on I had to learn to deal with conflict, recognize what people needed when they couldn’t vocalize it and be efficient without breaking the rules. I’ve taken each of these skills and honed them to provide the best services to my clients as possible." After graduating high school, Samantha went to college to major in math and psychology but life circumstances were such that she had to leave school early to take custody of her little sister. Years later, she went on to obtain a medical transaction certification and life coach certification. Motivated by the will to "help others achieve their wins," Samantha made the brave decision to take the plunge and become a small business owner in back in 2006. "I decided to create something that was mine, after my first child was born. I knew I was great at helping people." The bright future of Blount Creations
At present, Samantha continues to build upon her business by helping her clients be successful and have more time to enjoy their lives outside of work. When asked what the future holds, she expressed a desire to grow her current operations to the point where she can eventually help and inspire people in new meaningful ways. "I would like to grow enough that I could start a non-profit for domestic violence and abused children. Too many of these groups lack resources and lack the ‘team’ they need to help them build courage, feel beautiful and beat the lingering effects of living in those types of situations. I would also like to write books to spread the wisdom and emotional growth you get from truly being the leader of your life." Samantha’s inspiration for up and coming entrepreneurs
